Since our inception in 1948, Coaldale and District Emergency Services has strived to provide the most efficient fire protection and emergency services with our available resources.

We began providing fire service to Coaldale and area in 1948. Our ambulance service began 11 years later, in 1959.

Made up of  2 full time and 30 volunteer members, Coaldale and District Emergency Services provides fire protection for an area of 800 km².

EMS was divested to Alberta Health Services in October of 2010 and now runs out of the Coaldale Health Care Centre
