Single vehicle rollover 1 west of Coaldale on TWP Rd 9-2 Sunday April 15, people ejected, 3 injured. Jeep left road and jumped approach.

walking to town, exhaust ignited dry grass underneath and started fire.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() MVC's March 23, first one at 755 am, single vehicle rollover with mother and two small children 1 west of Coaldale, 1 child ejected. Ambulance was t-boned as it responded to scene taking it out of action, Lethbridge unit called out to assist, no injuries in Ambulance crash. Mother and 2 children transported to Lethbridge hospital with undetermined injuries.

Embers in burning barrel spread to dry grass and trees and fences in strong winds. Firefighters from Coaldale and Picture Butte were able to save all structures in yard and stopped fire just as it approached neighbors house. Strong winds blew over several large trees that had burned thru causing an extra danger for firefighters, Crews were on scene for 3.5 hrs extinguishing hot spots. 2 pumpers, tanker, bush truck from Coaldale were joined by a tanker and bush truck from Picture Butte.

Another truck pulling car trailer jack knifed into ditch avoiding original collision. 2 young females in van suffered injuries. Crews were on scene for 2 hrs assisting EMS and RCMP doing traffic control as semi stopped in wrong lane.

Driver not wearing seatbelt was ejected and suffered serious injuries. Passenger was belted in and suffered minor injuries.

Owner discovered fire when building was fully involved and power went off to house. Crews on scene for 2 hrs preventing fire from spreading, total loss.

Crews also stopped diesel leak and neutralized spill until DBS environmental arrived to clean it up.

Firefighters spent 1/2 hour searching for body, did not find.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Single vehicle rollover this morning (January 26, 2011) at 0925 hrs 3.5 miles west of Coaldale in the westbound lanes, Female driver of Potato truck lost control spilling load of potatoes, some mashed across lanes of traffic before sliding into ditch, she was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Fire crews on scene for 3.5 hours directing traffic and assisting TNT with cleaning up potatoes. Highway was completely shut down for short period while debris was removed

Sparks from previous controlled burn were blown into silage pit during extreme wind conditions. Crews had fire out in 1 hr.
