Single vehicle rollover 1 west of Coaldale on TWP Rd 9-2 Sunday April 15, people ejected, 3 injured. Jeep left road and jumped approach.
Vehicle fire Saturday March 24 at 0230 hrs. 3 east off of main street. Female driver hit ditch,
walking to town, exhaust ignited dry grass underneath and started fire.
MVC's March 23, first one at 755 am, single vehicle rollover with mother and two small children 1 west of Coaldale, 1 child ejected. Ambulance was t-boned as it responded to scene taking it out of action, Lethbridge unit called out to assist, no injuries in Ambulance crash. Mother and 2 children transported to Lethbridge hospital with undetermined injuries.
Grass fire in Pavan Park March 11 at 245 PM, Tanker 101 and E403 helped Lethbridge for 5 hrs, lots of it walking coulees with fire brooms
Large grass and tree fire 3 miles west and 1.5 miles north of Coaldale March 9th. Embers in burning barrel spread to dry grass and trees and fences in strong winds. Firefighters from Coaldale and Picture Butte were able to save all structures in yard and stopped fire just as it approached neighbors house. Strong winds blew over several large trees that had burned thru causing an extra danger for firefighters, Crews were on scene for 3.5 hrs extinguishing hot spots. 2 pumpers, tanker, bush truck from Coaldale were joined by a tanker and bush truck from Picture Butte.
2 vehicle MVC February 23 at 9 PM 2 miles north of Coaldale on 845, minivan was turning left off of hiway when cattle liner attempted to pass van, striking van on drivers side. Another truck pulling car trailer jack knifed into ditch avoiding original collision. 2 young females in van suffered injuries. Crews were on scene for 2 hrs assisting EMS and RCMP doing traffic control as semi stopped in wrong lane.
Single vehicle rollover February 21 at 4 PM, 2 young males hunting Coyotes 2 north on Broxburn Road lost control on canal bank and rolled into canal. Driver not wearing seatbelt was ejected and suffered serious injuries. Passenger was belted in and suffered minor injuries.
Shop fire Sunday February 12 at 0230 hrs 5 miles south of 512 on 19-4, old Androkovitch home place. Owner discovered fire when building was fully involved and power went off to house. Crews on scene for 2 hrs preventing fire from spreading, total loss.
Loaded super B rollover 1 north and 1/2 east of Tempest at 1227 February 7. 1 minor injury, crews on scene for 2.5 hrs cleaning up mess and using airbags to lift trailer so TNT could release 5th wheel hitch. Crews also stopped diesel leak and neutralized spill until DBS environmental arrived to clean it up.
Unsuccessful dog rescue Sunday February 5 at noon at Land O Lakes golf course, dog went through ice, owner jumped in after him and last saw him swim under the ice. Firefighters spent 1/2 hour searching for body, did not find.
Single vehicle rollover this morning (January 26, 2011) at 0925 hrs 3.5 miles west of Coaldale in the westbound lanes, Female driver of Potato truck lost control spilling load of potatoes, some mashed across lanes of traffic before sliding into ditch, she was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Fire crews on scene for 3.5 hours directing traffic and assisting TNT with cleaning up potatoes. Highway was completely shut down for short period while debris was removed
Silage pit and grass fire January 25 at 1 PM 6 miles north of Coaldale. Sparks from previous controlled burn were blown into silage pit during extreme wind conditions. Crews had fire out in 1 hr.
One of two grass fires Friday January 6, this one was just before midnite 3 miles south on 845, discarded cigarette but started this one.
